Re: Would anyone be interested in the "Photography Game" here? - doctorwayne - 01-10-2010 An example of my usual success when railfanning, the CN's bridge at 20 Mile Creek on their Grimsby subdivision: Wayne Re: Would anyone be interested in the "Photography Game" here? - Ralph - 01-10-2010 That's hilarious Wayne! Nice catch! Ralph Re: Would anyone be interested in the "Photography Game" here? - doctorwayne - 01-10-2010 It was so bad one day that even most of the bridge was missing: Wayne Re: Would anyone be interested in the "Photography Game" here? - e-paw - 01-10-2010 Another missing bridge. CNJ's DY draw in Bayonne NJ. Re: Would anyone be interested in the "Photography Game" here? - bdw9535 - 01-10-2010 Not a great shot, but at least the bridge is still there. Winslow, NJ June 1992 Bruce Re: Would anyone be interested in the "Photography Game" here? - Gary S - 01-10-2010 Wayne, yer killin me! Bruce, I like that photo alot! Very busy, lots to see in that one! Re: Would anyone be interested in the "Photography Game" here? - Charlie B - 01-11-2010 Here is the unit a little earlier (May 85), going by my old back yard. Charlie Re: Would anyone be interested in the "Photography Game" here? - cn nutbar - 01-11-2010 Charlie---talk about a backyard with a view---here's a shot from June/09 at Rochester PA. Re: Would anyone be interested in the "Photography Game" here? - bdw9535 - 01-11-2010 Another SD50 at Winslow, NJ April 1997 Bruce Re: Would anyone be interested in the "Photography Game" here? - Charlie B - 01-11-2010 Bruce, that is a perfect shot, but then again, most of yours are. I like the effect of the lighting with the brown grass. Here is one from June of 1977. Charlie Re: Would anyone be interested in the "Photography Game" here? - rr7135 - 01-11-2010 Super photo Charlie! Gotta love those Alco's!! Bob R. Re: Would anyone be interested in the "Photography Game" here? - cn nutbar - 01-11-2010 For some reason,Alco's always remind me of the steam era Here's a shot of some Canadian alcos Re: Would anyone be interested in the "Photography Game" here? - Charlie B - 01-11-2010 I really miss them. They were not as bad as the railroads thought they were. I knew a mechanic that worked at Conway and he said the big Centurys were the easiest to work on the prime movers. Given time and an electrical partner they could have easily survived. Charlie Re: Would anyone be interested in the "Photography Game" here? - cn nutbar - 01-11-2010 Hi Charlie---some of them have survived---here's one at Steamtown (Scranton PA)---Both the CN and CP rostered a large fleet of Montreal Locomotive Works built Alcos and I was fortunate to see and hear them running through Hamilton Re: Would anyone be interested in the "Photography Game" here? - Charlie B - 01-11-2010 Next summer I will be making a trip to see and photograph that railroad. I think Western New York and Pennsyvania also has a 6 axle century on their roster. Charlie |
