This was a little short line that connected with the PRR on one end and B&LE on the other. Its main purpose was to move coal from a mine to a power plant.
The mine playe3d out, so the Railroad was abandoned in the 70's. I was given these pictures by a good friend that worked for this railroad. He passed away 4 years ago. There are more pictures here http://www.kiskijunction.com/candh.html

Very interesting pictures, Charlie. I like the notation about the use of the cinder pile. 357

Your photo above is especially nice, considering its age - taken no later than June, 1923, based on the "NEW" date.

Mister Nutbar: that bridge would make a great scene for modeling. I really like it!

For the rules committee: Can a covered hopper be posted after an open hopper?

Well, I'm not sure ... let's see ... it's called a covered hopper, so it has the word hopper in it ...

... of course, my Grandmother used to call the "white porcelain convenience" in the bathroom a "hopper," so I'm not really sure ...

I defer to one of the Rule Makers!

Well, I guess the best way to get a rules clarification is to test them....
