Any ideas about the "B" in the reporting marks? Does it have anything to do with the lading Wink or is it just some well-done graffiti? 357

Depending on the lessee, the Penn Central used PC, PCA, and PCB reporting marks. I am sure Ralph will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it had to do with accountability of groups of leased cars due to the Penn Central's not so good credit history.

I love the way that rib-sided cars weather.

I think you're right. The PCB indicated they were ,leased from Pullman-Standard, I believe....

The two digit "87" # on that CXS unit seams a little odd Wink Almost like it's missing a few digits. I don't know much about CSX or do I model modern equipment, but that seams strange. Any background on it?

It caught my eye also.
So I checked Fallen Flags site and found out it looks like all of CSX's GE 4400AC series are numbered with only two or three numbered road numbers.
Odd..but guess its normal.
