pin stripe - Lester Perry - 04-01-2010 I have used a yellow tape about 1/32 inch +- for highway stripes. I no longer have the tape and don't know how to get more. I need to make yellow strip that curves and is really thin, maybe 1/64. this is actually for an airplane that is to be used on my layout. If I manage to get this project don and it looks OK I will post it. Re: pin stripe - TrainNut - 04-01-2010 Try looking in any big auto parts store for 3M products - pinstriping tape. If that don't cut the mustard, try a store that carries automotive paint. If your desperate, stop by the local auto body shop and see if they have any scraps you can have! Re: pin stripe - Lester Perry - 04-01-2010 I looked at their web site, 1/16 is as small as it gets Re: pin stripe - TinGoat - 04-02-2010 What you are looking for is called Map Tape: http://www.maps4u.com/cgi-bin/search.cg ... y=Map_Tape Or Chart Tape: http://www.filmtools.com/forchartap.html http://www.flex-a-chart.com/chart_tape.htm 1/32" is as thin as it comes which should be fine for striping a roadway. If you are using it for pin-striping an aircraft you should look at model aircraft decals. http://flightdecs.ca/ http://www.pronto.com/user/search.do?di ... 1938&site= http://www.thirtythousandfeet.com/models.htm#decal Etc.....
