Re: Bethgon coalporters - upnick - 06-07-2010 Hi Thank you for the information it is helpful As far as a model of a musician that is not my objective .... if you look at the title of the thread it is spelt Coalporter not Cole obviously you are not conversant with the car. This is a coalporter car. ![]() ![]() P5se Camelback Wrote:Welcome back! I wasn't here, I don't think, when you were last here. Re: Bethgon coalporters - tomustang - 06-07-2010 He was kidding Nick as for the porters, over here on the ns line they park the unit coal train in a river yard with the standard FRED device still blinking for a few days I'll have to check, I might have a far away shot of one of the waiting unit coal trains

My daughter always tells me I shouldn't, that my humor is just too obtuse, just like me! But I DID offer some "totally useful" information, at least I hope it was useful. BTW, those are nice photos of those hoppers, but in that one, you appear to be a bit chilled! Snow; I haven't really been in any since I moved to Florida. It just looks cold! ![]() But, please ... post more often ... join the new "Challenge!" Have some fun! I'm impressed. It's like when I am at the sports bar and refer to a local baseball pitcher as "Jimmy" Webb. With all his injuries lately, I say that someone left that cake out in the rain!

Re: Bethgon coalporters - upnick - 06-08-2010 Hi Bill, No problems maybe i took it too serious as well it was late when i posted & it gave me a good excuse to post a couple of pictures of them As to the build challenge if thats what you mean (sorry i havnt seen if there are threads for a build this year still getting back into the site) i did start a ''kitbash'' building last year still here needs finishing Quote:I apologise Nick! I was making an attempt at humor ... My daughter always tells me I shouldn't, that my humor is just too obtuse, just like me! Re: Bethgon coalporters - tomustang - 06-08-2010 Found one of them, to the left of the dash 9, the unit coal train is mixed with the older conrail bethgons, 3 bay and 4 bay hoppers, and NS's own Top Gons, the top gons were rebuilt from H11 and 12 class hoppers.
