hi all got a 30 min reprive from the slave driver , need to know if anyone out there has tried to or has coverted kd,s to the tight couplers used on passenger cars if so how did you do it my trys have failede .

You might want to look at Sergents engineering. The tight locks are on the way according to their web site.

Their couplers will not work with Kadees, but if your passenger equipment uses dedicated equipment with specific locomotives dedicated to passenger service, they would work. The other method if your locomotives are not specifically used for passenger service all of the time would be a baggage car or rpo with a Kaddee on one end and Sergent tight locks on the other end.
