mainly chalk - WT fan - 12-14-2010 This Life-Like 0-8-0 was weathered by my friend Pete. He used manly chalk. At first the engine got a layer dull cote. And some parts he worked with felt tip pens. Wolfgang Re: mainly chalk - Charlie B - 12-14-2010 Very nice Wolfgang. Chalks seem to do a very realistic job for weathering. Charlie Re: mainly chalk - Gary S - 12-14-2010 Yes, I have to say that turned out very well. In a lot of cases, chalks do a great job of weathering without a whole lot of input , and therefore are a great weathering tool. Re: mainly chalk - Ralph - 12-14-2010 Looks very good to me! Ralph Re: mainly chalk - nachoman - 12-14-2010 Very well done! Re: mainly chalk - tomustang - 12-14-2010 Looks great enough for me to try it! Re: mainly chalk - WT fan - 12-15-2010 This Mike has got a weathering and decals from me. I've lerned from Pete. Also first dull cote, then chalk and dull cote for sealing. Wolfgang |
