Well, you're right, in most cases it is only 3%, but looking at this, I can only determine by looking at the results, that it had to be 3X in this case... What other explanation can there be????? 35

Re: HO Tour Car Pictures - BR60103 - 06-05-2012

I managed to get some pictures of the car after it returned from Windermere.

At Exeter (St Dayle's), the car was placed in the mail spur to be returned to North America.

Nice layout. I like the way your fascia matches the wall behind the layout. I never dreamed it would find its way to Great Britain.

That was one of the conditions of being allowed to build across the front of the fireplace.

I haven't seen many model suspension bridges, and none as good looking as that one ! Very happy to see the 100119 on that bridge !! 2285_ 2285_

Re: HO Tour Car Pictures - BR60103 - 06-06-2012

The suspension bridge is by Hornby. I've had it longer than I've been married, but my wife tells me it has to go into every layout. It looked very impressive in N, but I couldn't fit double track on it. I think a version of it is still available.

Well, dont argue with her, just make darn sure it is used in every layout.

I am kind of suspecting that your wife has taken a real shine to that suspension bridge especially when you consider that she gave you planning permission to cross in front of the fireplace.

Lucky break, just keep SWMBO [She Who Must Be Obeyed from Rumpole of the Bailey] sweet and everything will be just peachy.
But Im sure you already know that one.

Re: HO Tour Car Pictures - BR60103 - 06-09-2012

The bridge has been a headache sometimes -- it's 4 1/2 feet long, so if I add a 3' radius curve at each end, we're over 10 1/2 feet. And that means that the bridge is the sole scenic feature on one side.

Now that we've given Mr. Jar time to boil, address, and eat his haggis, we return the thread to its original topic. :!:

BB&G 100119 arrived Ottawa Yard on the HOTrak June railway, only to be picked up by OA&GB RS-1 910.

[albumimg]4386[/albumimg]

(For those of you who know Canadian geography, please forgive the following story... Wink)

From Ottawa, the BB&G box headed east through Orleans, past Orleans Sand & Gravel.

[albumimg]4387[/albumimg]

From there it was on past Jackfish Bay on the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior.

[albumimg]4388[/albumimg]

Fishermen trying their luck in the dying light of day as the train rumbles overhead.

[albumimg]4389[/albumimg]

At the end of her trip, Corbyville awaits. Here she is arriving at the station. Across the tracks are Corby Distillers, where suitable beverages to accompany haggis can be found! Wink

[albumimg]4390[/albumimg]

BB&G Box was spotted at Moon Cold Storage so the wee haggis (pictured on the loading dock) can be safely tucked away until the next Rabbie Bairns Dey. Big Grin

I am not sure what her lading is for the return trip.... Wink
