It is also possible to re grind the foam down to a size you can use for grass.

That seams to be as fine as I can chop up the foam with my particular blender. So Catt, I am now on the look out for a used Food processor in hopes that I can get down to a finner size.

Some folks use an old coffe grinder to get finer. There are several posts out there you can find doing a Goggle search

This is a great way to make ground cover. However I have a problem with static electricity build up in as much as it makes the foam clump together. I havent found a cure yet.
I did buy a coffee grinder and it works great. *I can chop the foam small enough to use for foliage on HO trees.
