Weathering with colored pencils. - e-paw - 05-21-2011 I found this Video on the MRH E-mag and was wondering if anyone else had tried this before and what there results were ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjWckomnpqE Re: Weathering with colored pencils. - Sumpter250 - 05-21-2011 I've used colored pencils for details on LPBs. There, being able to get a fine point on the pencil, I was able to add very small details, like buttons, watchbands etc. I haven't tried weathering.....yet. It's a whole new "medium" and will take a few tries before it becomes "second nature". Re: Weathering with colored pencils. - Genetk44 - 05-21-2011 I read the article then watched the video and then went and bought some of the pencils...definately a great technique, lots more control than a brush BUT like all new techniques its well worth practicing on an old scrap piece of rolling-stock or building before using it on a good piece...of course one of the nice things about this is you can wash away a mistake as long as you haven't sealed it with a sealer Cheers Gene |
