Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Sumpter250 - 04-05-2012 Took one look at your N scale pulpwood load, and an old TV ad jingle popped into my mind ----- "From the valley of the jolly Ho Ho Ho Green Midget" Those are really good looking logs, sometimes nature really can be an excellent source for details. Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Gary S - 04-05-2012 That is some nice modeling. Awesome! Love the looks of the truck. Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - doctorwayne - 04-05-2012 How appropriate: "bucked" logs. Both the truck and the logs look good! Wayne Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Harry - 04-05-2012 great work Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Tyson Rayles - 04-05-2012 Thanks guys, much appreciated ! Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Steamtrains - 04-08-2012 Great litlle truck & load....!!!! What are the logs made of..?? Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Tyson Rayles - 04-08-2012 Thanks Gus, they are twigs, VERY small twigs. From 1/32nd to 5/16th's of an inch thick and 5/8th's of an inch long. Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Tyson Rayles - 04-09-2012 Here are three more with the unmodified ones setting next to them, also a couple of shots with them on the layout although they may be moved around some before finding a permanent home. Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - MountainMan - 04-09-2012 Great work! That's showing the world that N-scale can do it. Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Steamtrains - 04-09-2012 !!...Terrific job..!!! And in N scale...doubly so...!! I thought those logs were the real thing. Just wanted to confirm... Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Harry - 04-09-2012 great work, aber where is the crane? Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Tyson Rayles - 04-09-2012 Guys thanks for the kind words! Harry if the crane you are refering to was one to transfer the wood from the trucks to the flat cars, there isn't one. I'm modeling the 60's and the real yard here did all that by hand back then. They did get a forklift in the late 70's. Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Harry - 04-10-2012 Tyson Rayles Wrote:Guys thanks for the kind words!
