Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Tyson Rayles - 04-21-2013 Instead of working on the layout like I should I was playing with the camera and some new wildlife that I recently got. Don't think the dawg will last long at this rate though. Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Ralph - 04-21-2013 Hopefully the bear won't think its worth his time and just saunters away! Nice little detail scene! It'll be fun to see how long it takes people visiting the layout to notice it in the tall grass. Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Tyson Rayles - 04-22-2013 Thanks Ralph ! I don't know if I will leave them in that spot but where ever I leave them I will probably shave the grass down a little more. Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - ezdays - 04-22-2013 It looks natural the way it is, tall grass is a fact of life. You might want to put a mower attachment behind the tractor though, just to give the illusion that it will get mowed some day. Dave Downunder. Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Tyson Rayles - 04-26-2013 Thanks Dave, much appreciated. Welcome to the forum! Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - ezdays - 04-26-2013 Yes, welcome Dave to Big Blue, let's hear more from you. And you are spot on, Mike is an inspiration to us all and sets the bar really high. Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Sumpter250 - 04-26-2013 Dave ! Trolleydave70......looking to see some pictures, am I right to assume that most of them will be "under wire" ?? Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Tyson Rayles - 04-26-2013 Thanks Don Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - Tyson Rayles - 04-28-2013 Phase two is done, for now anyway ! The first pic is of the overall layout then the overall of phase two and finally the right side of phase two looking towards the main layout ( if you can call 6 foot by 28 inches a main layout ) . Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - faraway - 04-28-2013 Wonderful! I love your layout. It is so very different from mine. No nasty industry but beautiful green scenery everywhere. And my respect for all the details you do in 1:160 scale. Re: Nantahala Midland V 3.0 - doctorwayne - 04-28-2013 ...and I also like the way the layout seems to sequé seamlessly into the backdrop and the fact that the trains don't overwhelm their surroundings. Very nicely done. Wayne |
