86" drivers? By the looks of the position of that cab, the engineer will know soon enough if his bum is "in gauge". Eek Misngth Misngth Looks like it might be some close clearances there.
And if he's got a heavy hand on the throttle, let's hope that the fireman had his Wheaties, too - that's a lot of firebox to tend. Wink Goldth

Geez! That number rings a bell ... Cheers Yeah, me too!

I believe that is the number of one of the locomotives used in tourist service on the New Hope and & Ivyland Railroad in New Hope, PA. The NH&IRR is a pretty cool little tourist line, featuring a wooden trestle used back in the early black and white film days in the filming of the "Perils of Pauline," a Saturday Matinee Serial Series, often followed in the early afternoon matinee film program by "Junior G-Men," "The Lone Ranger," "Our Gang," (later called "The little Rascals" on TV) and "The Bowery Boys". Popcornbeer Sometimes, the theatre would throw in a "Keystone Cops" and "Laural and Hardy!" Of course, that all followed the "Movietone News" and a cartoon or two ... all for 25 cents! Plus another 10 cents for Popcornbeer ... But I digress ... again ... that ADD is hard to control ...

I'm pretty sure the #1533 at New Hope is a Ten-wheeler as well! I may have a photo or two of the #1533 in New Hope somewhere in my 35mm color slides (I always used to shoot slide film - you can throw the image up on the wall and make it HUGE! I'll have to look through my slides. Don't hold your breath ... we used slides to document design work as well as to make design presentations to clients (as a consultant designer) and to upper management (as a corporate design manager) so there are boxes and boxes and boxes and boxes of slides. Confusedhock:

But I know I've seen that number before! Thumbsup[/color]

EDIT: Fixed a misspelled word ... it makes better sense now, thank you!
