NEW FREIGHT STATION - Steamtrains - 10-03-2012

Just finished building this little critter which will serve the little town of La Milpa on the LC&P.
It's from a Dyna-Model Products Co. kit that I picked up on the Bay....

I'm thinking it could use a couple of signs...and some clutter on the platform...
I'll work on that this weekend....

BTW, that's not its location. It'll go in a spur that's currently under construction.

Hope you all like it.... Goldth

Nice looking fright station.. Thumbsup

I keep telling myself I should try my hand at building a wood structure kit.

Re: NEW FREIGHT STATION - Steamtrains - 10-04-2012

Thanks for your comments....Hopefully this weekend I can get its "home" well along the way to being finished..

Larry...Go for it...!! There's no better way of building a structure, and you can get away with very minimal "painting"... Goldth

Hi Gus
That looks like a perfect addition to your layout! Thumbsup Thumbsup Thumbsup
Like you said, some signage, a little clutter, and it will really shine! Also, maybe you could use a utility knife and "pry" a couple of roof shingles up a little here and there.

Great job, my friend!

Thanks for the comments, guys...

I'm afraid there is no way to "pry" any shingles on the roof. They are made from a rubbery material and are all molded as one piece. They do look a little too uniform, but that's the way they're going to have to stay....

Which one of the approximately 7,500 shingles do you want me to "pry"?

:o I'd ask which one of the 20,000 + (approx. ) but I'd have to post about a dozen pictures, to get all the choices in.

No, I haven't been "sent to a home" yet. Icon_twisted 357 Big Grin
