Roller doors or similar for a warehouse? - PhilM - 11-03-2012 I have built a simple very low relief HO modern warehouse to go along the front edge of a layout and it can be seen from both sides. Has anyone got any ideas about buying some doors that are 2 sided? It would be nice to buy something with all the sliding rails and other mechanism but that might be asking too much and I could probably bodge something if I can just find appropriate material for the doors. Because the back/inside of the door will be very visible, up close, I am thinking it needs the relief provided by plastic rather than simply sticking a print out to some card. I intend to model some doors open (to frame the view) and some closed. Thanks! Phil Re: Roller doors or similar for a warehouse? - Charlie B - 11-03-2012 Phil, you might find what you want here. I bought an assortment of parts and the doors were detailed on both sides. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://tichytraingroup.com/index.php?page=view_category.php&category=Doors&offset=0">http://tichytraingroup.com/index.php?pa ... s&offset=0</a><!-- m --> Charlie Re: Roller doors or similar for a warehouse? - PhilM - 11-05-2012 Thanks Charlie. Very useful resource but a bit old fashioned for what I need at the minute, so still looking. Phil Re: Roller doors or similar for a warehouse? - Mike Kieran - 11-05-2012 If you use a photograph of a roller door, It could slide up and down a guide and roll into a shroud like the real thing and use a small motor to roll it. The product numbers are as follows: 5411113 10x10' door 5411107 12x12' door There are two separate listings to RIX products catalog: RIX Products and Pikestuff. You will find these items on the Pikestuff Total Product Listings Larry <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://rixproducts.com/prod02.htm">http://rixproducts.com/prod02.htm</a><!-- m --> |
