Mikado 636 takes a spin on the Lowbanks turntable. Like her three sisters, she's sporting a new outside-bearing lead truck:

Nice pics everyone! (JWB, you know I'm liking that one!)

A pair of RSD-12s recently relocated to the Kings Port Division roll past crossings in West Mill while still wearing their pre-merger colors.

Ralph, that is a nice scene. I don't recall seeing that angle before, but I forget what happened yesterday too. Misngth

Wow, Ralph, I'll ad my third Thumbsup to that photo. Really well done.

Re: WPF Dec. 13th-19th, 2013 - Ralph - 12-15-2013

Thanks guys. I use a Canon PowerShot A720. I use XNview for photo editing and sometimes, as in the pic above, hit the "enhance focus" option. Sometimes it works beautifully but other times creates an odd pixilated look. Depending on the shot I'll mess with it a little to see if it can look a little better. There is something about the lighting in this corner of the layout that seems to yield some of my better photos.

Re: WPF Dec. 13th-19th, 2013 - nachoman - 12-15-2013

Ralph - If you don't mind a little critique, there's really only two things in that photo that make it look like a model - the edge of the layout in the lower left, and it looks like a shadow of the power pole on the backdrop. If it weren't for those two, I might think this was a 1:1 photo and not a model! You did a convincing job on the rocks and bluffs in the background, and the colors and contours of the backdrop hills are just about perfect.

Re: WPF Dec. 13th-19th, 2013 - Ralph - 12-15-2013

Thanks Kevin! This part of the layout is one of the best looking. I'm hoping to gradually make the rest look as good. Smile

Great shot Charlie!!! The tracks continue around the corners on both sides, right? Gives me an idea of the size of your layout!

That's right Ralph, they continue around the corners and come back under where I am on the ladder for this picture.
