I'm somewhat surprised that this hand-me-down hasn't yet shown up on this thread.
Built, along with nine sisters, by ALCo's Brooks Works in 1919 for the Boston & Albany, these locos came to the CNR in 1928. This was a couple of years after the B&A took delivery of their first Berkshires.

Here's a photo of one of the real ones, scanned from Mainline Modeler magazine:

Without a doubt the 4193 is my favourite hand-me-down---thanks for posting Doc Thumbsup

Doctor Wayne's addition has added a whole new perspective to this thread. When the Canadian National Railway was created in 1923,the majority of it's locomotive roster was acquired from other railroads including the Grand Trunk Railway,Canadian Government Railway and the Canadian Northern Railway---all their locomotives could be considered as "second hand power".Here's some examples.

E-10-A Mogul #91,built in 1910 at the Kingston Locomotive Works as #1013 for the Grand Trunk Railway

Hello Bernhard---I have been very fortunate to have an excellent purchasing manager---my wife Sharon.Over the years at Christmas time,my birthdays and other special occasions Sharon has "surprised" me with the gift of another locomotive for my collection---I have to admit though that she does receive a lot of suggestions from me.I have obtained many of my locomotives through local hobby shops but the majority have come from Brasstrains which is located in Ocala FLA.,USA.I also have to thank Doctor Wayne who has provided a lot of inspiration and direction and especially all his creative talents in creating my locomotive roster.
