Re: First One - Puddlejumper - 12-16-2008

I don't really have any good pics, but here is a poser shot of me after tying down a trailer train at CSX's Seagirt terminal in Baltimore, Md. Please excuse the dreadlocks... lol.
The second shot is a railfan pic of me taking a smoke break at Lansdowne, Md while sitting at a red board. I don't remember getting my pic taken, and don't remember who sent it to my email.

I don't have long hair anymore, don't work for CSX anymore, but those were some great years that i'll never forget.

Please excuse the poor quality and large photo size.I tried to re-size it but for some reason I couldn't get the new size to stick. Icon_lol

Re: First One - nkp_174 - 12-17-2008

Sure is interesting to see what so many of you look like...especially having conversed with you over the internet for a couple years or so.

I'm adding a few additional pictures of me...more because of the trains than me... Goldth

Myself and a pair of my favorite Chinese friends from a Bible Study...when a local tourist train brought in 0-4-0t
[Image: DSCF6927.jpg]

And then there was that time in England when I saw the locomotive which, despite what Guinness thinks, never has held any world records...

And before that, when I had short hair, my wife insisted that I fake smile... Nope

That last one is a REAL 30" gauge locomotive. While On30 is now (probably) the most popular narrow gauge scale, there was only 40 miles of 30" gauge railroads in the US...compared to 17,608 miles of 3' gauge. I'd love to see Bachmann come out with one of those 0-6-2ts because of it! They make one in HOe (HOn30) and LGB offers it for large scale.

I've never claimed to be a photographer. I'm just a big gray-haired American Indian.

Re: First One - scubadude - 12-18-2008

This is the latest mugshot of yours truly. I hosted a charity golf tournament to raise $$$ for the Dive Pirates Foundation...We train handicapped folks to scuba dive. Most of the participants are veterans returning from the Middle East and parts unknown with severe injuries, most are paraplegics and quadraplegics. These are the lucky ones, some don't come home at all....We train them to dive at my facility, then take them to the Cayman Islands to dive. We also train a 'buddy', usually a family member or friend so they may continue to dive once training is complete. We raised almost $20,000, which will provide for 4 or 5 divers. The second shot is of one of the few if not only rolling Honor Guard from the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Very rewarding indeed. I just got off the course to host the awards banquet, was probably 4 or 5 beers in by then!!! Cheers A good time was had by all.......
