Re: First One - modelsof1900 - 01-13-2011 Hallo Markus and a Hallo to all other "new" modelers, welcome here! A short notation to all others, Markus is a member of American Model Railroaders of Eastern Germany - AMREG.de - and we meet us in Dresden, Germany each second month. Nice to read here from you, Markus! Re: First One - LiveSteamer - 01-27-2011 Me, the Fiance, and Daughter taken in 2009 Re: First One - Ralph - 01-27-2011 Nice looking family portrait Matthew! Got down to -4 degrees that night. 2nd picture is my youngest son Jared and I at his Crossover event from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts January 20, 2011. He is the inspiration and motivation behind building our model train layout. Re: First One - Lester Perry - 04-07-2011 This the first time I have looked at this thread, so I thought I would find one of myself to put in it. This is my wife and I in local July 4 parade. It is the best shot I can find. Now take your eyes off of the good lookin woman on the back, I am driving. Re: First One - Mike Kieran - 06-22-2011 Here's my mug at the last game in the Old Yankee Stadium with my wife. The secret to my happy marriage? She's very near sighted. Les, I bet most of us were perving at the nice shiney red tractor. Mark Re: First One - Ralph - 06-22-2011 Thanks for adding your photos guys! Mike, I'll forgive you for being a Yankee fan (Let's Go Mets! ) Ralph Re: First One - Lester Perry - 06-22-2011 That is one of three shinny tractors. I am not able to keep them going so they sit in garages. I am waiting for 6 year old grandson to get old enough to take over for his grandfather. Re: First One - Mike Kieran - 06-23-2011 Can't help it. My family was originally from the Bronx and my first game ever was at The Stadium on June 8, 1969 (Mickey Mantle Day). Boy it sucks to be a Mets fan this year. I am however a Brooklyn Cyclones fan (it's a Brooklyn Thing) whose Stadium is built on Steeplechase Park. If anyone remembers Steeplechase Park, then they remember that there was a midget clown at the exit to the park. That was my Uncle Tom. By the way, do you know where the Mets got their name? Re: First One - Sumpter250 - 06-23-2011 By the way, do you know where the Mets got their name? I might have known, once, long ago, but can't now remember. It's not that I'm old, it's that when "Dem Bums" left Ebbets Field, I lost all interest in Major League Baseball. ( except that as an old Dodger fan, I despised, and still do, the N.Y Yankees, and still feel good when any team beats them ). These days, the Chicago Cubs are the closest thing I've found to the old Brooklyn Dodgers. ( except for their World Series Record ) Mets, as I recall, was short for Metropolitan (something). |
