Prototypical Type M Trucks - SouthsiderO701 - 05-11-2014 I don't know if this bothers anyone else, but have you noticed how the roller bearings on modern blomberg trucks never seem to be put on models? I have an 2 N scale CSX GP40-2's and, while I can't speak for other parts of the US, I have seen almost every Geep in Tampa with these roller bearing type side frames: My models from Atlas have these type M's on them: To me it just feels like having bettendorf journal boxes on a TrinCool reefer Any advice on how I can get the roller bearing look on my locomotives' trucks? Re: Prototypical Type M Trucks - cid - 05-27-2014 Hey Southsider, I can't really help with that, but don't give up! I know how something like that can get under your skin... Maybe you can find a way to modify those trucks? Anyway, it's a real good modeling (d__nyouautocorrect) question. Let us know what you come up with!! |
