Re: The Hobo Camp Fire Is going well #VII.. Stop In!!! - FiatFan - 09-25-2016

Greetings, gang

Cloudy and 59 this morning. So far, the temperature has dropped 9 degrees since I got up a couple hours ago. The rain has ended after another inch and the rest of the week is supposed to be dry.

Nothing much on tap for today other than add some water to the water bed.

All stay safe.

Tom

Afternoon all. Cloudy and a little dampness in the air. Being lazy. Seems nice to rest and catch up on DVR'd things [Notorious, Chef's Life, RMEF].

Have a good one.

Morning all. Awake and ready lol. Hope all have a good day. I'm hoping for one myself. It's now hurry up and wait. I know why did I get up so early. Simple I can stand like 2 hours at a time in that bed. ( hospital bed )
Talk to you all later, hopefully from home

Gidday Campers, I don’t think I’ve posted here before but I got all confused as to what the story was regarding Sumpter251, :? was this a forum thing that one had to add to their screen name from time to time?, was I going to have to dig out an avatar picture of an NZR Jb class locomotive so I could become JbBear?!!!!!
Anyhow I found here that Sumpter250 had (has) Gremlins Crazy in his computer so while not good for Pete, at least there wasn’t a body/identity snatcher on the forum!! Eek

Greetings, gang.

Sunny and cool in the remote reaches of northern Iowa this morning. Right now it's 50 headed for a high in the upper 60s. It's supposed to be cool, dry and sunny for the remainder of the week.

Quiet day yesterday. Nothing accomplished. Today isn't looking real promising either.

RT - Hope you are able to make it home today.

Welcome JaBear.

All stay safe.

Tom

Hi Bear! and all.

Coming in from the cold is right. I was away from the MRR forum for a week or so and when I dropped by, it said I was banned from the forum. :o Confusedhock: :? I have no idea why I was banned I didn't get a "why I oughta" type E-Mail or anything. At least when you get a penalty in Hockey they announce over the PA :hey: what you're in the penalty box for. 357
Maybe Waldorf and Statler just overstayed their welcome. 357
Anyway,I have lurked over here sometimes, so I hope I can get help with problems I may have as I proceed with the layout. Lots of familiar faces here that's for sure.
I have not had any time to work on the layout as I created a monster in signing the kids up to be extra's in the movie industry, just to make a few bucks through August. After "Wonder" was finished shooting, the phone started to ring. This week we were up at 0400Hrs to get into Vancouver for his small part as a mutant in the new X-men TV series. He spends a long time in the makeup chair and is totally unrecognizable when they are finished with him. After the show airs I will post a photo of him as mister nasty. 357 I am suppose to be retired, the days are far to long for this high mileage unit.
Now where did I leave my layout. :?
Cheers
Brent

Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and cool will be the order of the day today. Right now it's 48 headed for a high of 62. Gradual warming trend starts tomorrow into next week.

Picked up a small batch of leaves and got the yard mowed yesterday. Nothing major planned for today other than a trip to the gym and maybe some grocery shopping.

RT- glad to see you home again!

Batman - Welcome to the campfire.

All stay safe.

Tom

Morning all. Sunny???? Suppose to be cloudy and showers [maybe storms]. Was busy day yesterday. Got FIL's truck with 4 good "feet". Now to get it inspected and renew plates. Errands today. Lunch meeting. Tomorrow, Cardiologist for 6 months checkup. Contractor to get numbers on adding on to house for Wifey.

Tom, hope Iowa dries out.

Have a good one.

Re: The Hobo Camp Fire Is going well #VII.. Stop In!!! - BATMAN - 09-28-2016

Good morning from the sunny West coast of Canada.
It is good weather for the visit of Prince William and Kate. I am not much of a monarchist, however, people seem to enjoy seeing them so that's fine with me. The borders have been packed this week with lots of our neighbours to the South coming up to see the future King and Queen. I just hope the border clears up for Saturday as there is a real good train show just over the line in Lynden. If I get up early, the wait is minimal or none existent.
I need to jump on the Deere and get some grass cut today. I bought a new John Deere last fall, I must say I liked my old one much better. The mower deck had rusted out and to replace that alone was almost as much as a whole new unit. I now have just the old tractor to pull my John Deere trailer around with. That's convenient as I can just leave it alway's hooked up.
Thanks for the welcome Tom. All the best to all, for having a great day.

TO THE TURF!

Brent

Good afternoon all.

BATMAN,

I have been to Canada twice. The first time I went to ride the Algoma Central agawa canyon tour great train trip. The second time I went to the Windsor casino.
I would like to go back again sometime and ride all the way to Herst and back. Also a fan of the RED GREEN show.

Cool and cold rain here. It is fall in the Buckeye State with snow around the corner most likely.

Been messing with some Ye Olde Huff n Puff wood train kits, fun stuff I have about a dozen kits with 10 more on the way. This will keep me busy over the winter months 8-) .

Here is a pic of 4 flats from Huff n Puff still need to address the underside and secure the loads.

Wet good morning. Rains and storms last night. Lots in Fayetteville and south. More today. Off to Cardiologist for a 6 months. Nothing much but talk. Why not. Pretty blonde with great personality. We laugh and joke.

AF, good job on the Army.

Have a good one.

Good morning all. Rain, lots of rain last night. We've been getting it all over, but somehow it seems to only have a few sprinkles left when it reaches us, but not last night, it dumped on us good. The only problem, it'll feed our crop of weeds and we'll be digging them out trying to beat the HOA guy that is just looking to cite you for some simple infraction. Weeds, parking on the street (even if it's not your car), and I got cited once for having my wheels parked off the cement drive by a few inches.

Chief, I'd start going to your cardiologist if it wasn't that far a trip, plus I'll bet she isn't in my provider network either.

Re: The Hobo Camp Fire Is going well #VII.. Stop In!!! - AF350 - 09-29-2016

Thanks Chief,

The two tanks alike are 1:64 Lindbergh kits from American models sold as loads for their S flats but look good on the O gauge flats as well. The other tank is a blatant toy that fits on the flat and the Jeep is 1:32 with Sarge, Beetle and Otto figures.

Just a quick post this morning getting ready for work, won't be back til midnight. Will post again sometime Friday afternoon.

Re: The Hobo Camp Fire Is going well #VII.. Stop In!!! - FiatFan - 09-30-2016

Greetings, gang.

Sunny and another cool start to the day. Right now it's 46 headed for about 67 or so.

It's been quiet around here lately. No major plans for today. Tomorrow I'm headed north for a small train show. Maybe not interesting but it gets me out of the house. Then tomorrow afternoon is college football.

i have been trying to get my wife's computer rebuilt. It won't perform updates. I've been trying several "cures" found on the internet but nothing has succeeded so far.

Even with all the rain we had last week the harvest is in full swing around here. The high winds early inn the week helped dry out the fields fairly quickly.

All stay safe.

Tom
