Many many thanks for posting those Charlie Thumbsup Nice to see the transition era paint and patches on the units and the rare 2049. Not very many pics of it online.

The engines have three lights (I assume white, yellow, red) at the cab front over each number boards. That reminds me on Canadian engines. Did Alco built this engines with an intention to sell them in Canada or was that at that time the Alco US standard too?
I think EMD built it with one light in the short hood front but three different glasses.

Reinhard, maybe someone will fill us in on the use of these lights. They used to be on all locomotives when they operated by timetable and telegraph but I see no real reason to have them on these locomotives unless they were still required by law.
