Neolube - twilight - 12-04-2014 Anyone use this stuff for detailing their steam locomotive's side rods, valve gear and drivers? Pros or cons? <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.micromark.com/neolube-2-fl-oz,8383.html">http://www.micromark.com/neolube-2-fl-oz,8383.html</a><!-- m --> Thanks, Mark Re: Neolube - Genetk44 - 12-04-2014 Yes...I have..works great....but beware, it is electrically conductive....so don't allow it to cross any insulated bits. Re: Neolube - MasonJar - 12-05-2014 And don't get any on the wheel treads. They will slip, and also spread NeoLube all over your track... Don't ask how I know this... Here is a discussion of using Neolube on N Scale trains (the scale doesn't matter...) There are some example photos showing results. http://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=34807.0 If anyone is interested in getting some from the bulk buy I made, at a discount, please just email me here: <!-- e --><a href="mailto:maxvox15@gmail.com">maxvox15@gmail.com</a><!-- e --> Thank you, Max Re: Neolube - Catt - 01-15-2015 Hi Max, Welcome to Big Blue. You will find we are a different breed than the Railwire. This is a good place to be. ( I've been a member so long I have more seniority than the owners ) Re: Neolube - CNscale - 02-01-2015 Andrew (MasonJar) - you seem to be located in Ottawa. Just wondering where you got your Neolube? US retailers won't ship it across the border, and I've never seen it for sale anywhere. Re: Neolube - Genetk44 - 02-02-2015 I got mine from Micro-Mark in New Jersey.....they shipped it to Montreal. They wouldn't ship it to me here in southern Ontario, either, so I had it sent to an American friend and picked it up when I visited. I had a bunch of other stuff in the order, too, so I saved quite a bit on the shipping cost: it probably payed for half a tank of gas, and I would have visited the friend anyway.
