Bruce Re: Weekly Photo Fun 01/09 - 01/15/15 - Canadian Atlantic Railway - 01-09-2015 Looking Good Bruce Is that a Walters LPG tank car? Re: Weekly Photo Fun 01/09 - 01/15/15 - BR60103 - 01-09-2015 I finally took the camera to our morning coffee shop in downtown Guelph. The morning VIA train from Sarnia to Toronto. In snow. Re: Weekly Photo Fun 01/09 - 01/15/15 - Green_Elite_Cab - 01-09-2015 Bruce, Is that Southern Boxcar one of the Wright Track Models Kits? I've been looking for that exact sort of waffle-side car, and I recently discovered this company. They also make prototype NYC/PC/Conrail transfer caboose kits, as well as the N7 class bay window caboose. Re: Weekly Photo Fun 01/09 - 01/15/15 - faraway - 01-10-2015 The Saturday local might be overpowered but the Athearn RTR SD40-2 was on sale and I could not resist ...... Re: Weekly Photo Fun 01/09 - 01/15/15 - bdw9535 - 01-10-2015 Railnet, Thanks, the tank car is an Atlas Trinity 25500. Chris, The Southern cars are from ExactRail, have you seen the N-9 transfer cabooses from Bluford Shops? Reinhard, Your Conrail roster keeps growing, are we looking at a Conrail theme for 2015? Bruce Re: Weekly Photo Fun 01/09 - 01/15/15 - Catt - 01-10-2015 Bought this beastie for parts for a GVR SD40-3C rebuild. It ran like crap so I cleaned all of the electrical contacts. Now it is one of my smoother Athearn units .I may just have to go find another parts loco. I also painted the handrails because raw steel can be ugly. I have still absolute no plans for 2015 layout modifications, rebuild etc. Re: Weekly Photo Fun 01/09 - 01/15/15 - bdw9535 - 01-10-2015 Couple more shots of Shore River working at the yard. Bruce Re: Weekly Photo Fun 01/09 - 01/15/15 - Ralph - 01-10-2015 I've been working on some of the over a dozen little projects I want to complete on my layout. This one about is creating some interior details for my engine house so when my train-cam loco enters or leaves it some details can be seen on the viewing screen. Here is the maintenance platform with some ersatz details. This is the interior of the engine house with the structure removed. Here is an engineer's view when entering the engine house. And, the exterior. Re: Weekly Photo Fun 01/09 - 01/15/15 - Green_Elite_Cab - 01-10-2015 bdw9535 Wrote:Chris, Ah, I'll have to look out for some of those Exact rail cars. As for the Bluford shops cars, I haven't inspected one for myself, but it appears to be a bit of a stand in model. I might pick one up if I find a cheap one out there, but from what I understand, the Conrail ones actually sold pretty well, so they might be a little trickier to come by. Wright Trak offers an N6 transfer caboose kit, which might be alittle up there in price but it looks pretty good. http://wrighttrak.com/page3.php?view=pr ... ategory=2# Re: Weekly Photo Fun 01/09 - 01/15/15 - bdw9535 - 01-11-2015 Green_Elite_Cab Wrote:As for the Bluford shops cars, I haven't inspected one for myself, but it appears to be a bit of a stand in model. Chris, You are correct, the dimensions are off for the N-9 but I still purchased two of them. Bruce Re: Weekly Photo Fun 01/09 - 01/15/15 - doctorwayne - 01-11-2015 Some recently added rolling stock. An Accurail hopper, from a friend. I modified the lettering slightly, then added a little weathering: A used Atlas hopper with similar changes: And a used Tyco/Mantua gondola. This one got metal grabirons and steps, along with some underbody brake gear. Paint is PollyScale, with lettering from Champ, C-D-S, and F&C: Wayne Re: Weekly Photo Fun 01/09 - 01/15/15 - e-paw - 01-11-2015 Nice equipment Doc. ,,,and look a naked Geep 9.
