Weekly Photo Fun 12/18-12/24 - eightyeightfan1 - 12-18-2015 Found this while looking at the Naugatuck Line from Waterbury, CT to Torrington on Google earth. Never even knew it was there. Parked at the Blue Seal feed store in Torrington. Re: Weekly Photo Fun 12/18-12/24 - faraway - 12-18-2015 The Atlas drives are unbeaten. A good reason to add ditch lights and MU cables to an old B23-7 model. To look like the prototype at it's last month in March 1999 and put it on my layout. A little bit to old but how is this rule number 1 ...

I never saw Pennsy steam in action, but the appeal is universal. Is that a sign of . . . age ?? hock: . . . . or simply because they were always, at the least, double-headed, climbing the "grades"?
Re: Weekly Photo Fun 12/18-12/24 - Charlie B - 12-19-2015 Pete, I can remember hearing diesels coming for miles (I had the hearing of a 10 year old) and we would hustle to the tracks to see them come by. I can't remember the models of the diesels but I can remember the chant of the 567 engine. It's funny because I was always attracted to trains, but never remember what I saw until I started taking pictures in 1975. I even had an autobody repair shop in the PRR train station in E Liverpool, Ohio from 69 to 72, I watched PC trains out the windows there too. You can never go home again I guess. That said, much of the scenes I have modeled, come directly from my memories of what home was like. Every time I see the modules, it's like " going home", or going back to the places that feel like home.
