Handlaid Track - hirailer - 05-23-2016 I have been building my own track for years and I was wondering how many other here are doing the same. Mel Re: Handlaid Track - Chuck - 05-23-2016 Your crossings look great! I am just now learning how to hand lay turnouts. It is not as hard as I thought it would be. My brother lent me some Fast Tracks tools -- point and frog forming tools which make it much easier to build the turnouts. I am waiting on an order of rail to make some more. I find it very rewarding to lay my own track and switches. Plus the turnouts operate much smoother! Chuck Re: Handlaid Track - Bob C - 06-04-2016 Beautiful "Curved Diamonds", and the texture, color and detail in the surroundings is well executed, too. Haven't "built" any track since the early '70s (when I last had a permanent layout)...I admire your skill in that enterprise. Bob C |
