Bill Board Reefer - tetters - 02-25-2009 Saw this on the CNJ Bronx Terminal blog. 10% More Heat - 10% Less Ash. Linky to source page. http://keokukandwesternrr.com/models.htm Man...I think I need to pick up some of these colourful little box cars. Just rolling works of art. Re: Bill Board Reefer - sgtcarl1 - 02-25-2009 Tetters: Thanks for the cool pic! Almost makes me homesick for Iowa....NAH!! Re: Bill Board Reefer - Bigsteel - 02-25-2009 wow, nice pic.every once in a while i see one or 2 pre-war tinplate bill-board reefers but never thought anythng of them.but im kickin myself now! those originals are worth a butt-load and make very nice collectors items. and the TRUE reason its 10% better at heating and 10% cleaner is the fact that gern made a superflux in the early 20's until it was cancelled since it was too powerful and the U.S govt banned it because of ill-fated side effects...... --josh Re: Bill Board Reefer - nomad - 02-25-2009 I love those billboards. All I can find though is the reefers. Loren |
