Woodland Scenics Just Plug LED lighting - Chet - 04-23-2018
For a long time I have been tempted to install lighting in another town on my layout. Woodland Scenics has their Just Plug LED light so I thought I would give it a try. Here is a photo of what I have been able to do so far. Te town is about 12 feet long total and it wnded up that I need an expansion hub to to be able to complete the town. I do like the way the lamps look, just right for the transition era. It is a bit of a pain working with wires that aren't much larger than a hair, but I do like the results.

I did manage to get the rest of the street lamps wired up, but the leads for the LED's for interior lighting in some of the buildings were way too short.

Now that the street lights are in, some of the buildings have had LED's put in the interior. The passenger station does not have a detailed interior yet, but may not need it because that are for the most part hidden by trees.

I would like to light the market, but the building is actually 2 stories with an interior floor between levels. A hole will have to be drilled up through the bottom and then the loading dock area in this freight station will be lit. A floor has ale=ready been installed so it may be a bit of a job to get an LED inside.

The results in your photos are good, but TBH the lit streets and buildings lookslightly odd without the cars lighting being on too.

There's one in every crowed. I hadn't noticed that and still looks great.
