Bachmann's affordable SD40-2 makes it easy to add some simple details. Susie-Q is so kind to have no flashing ditch lights. That permits the reuse of old Tsunami 1 sound decoders.

Back to the south  Icon_e_biggrin

The Florida CF7 spring parade. All with Tsunami sound, LEDs and ditch lights except FMID 63 where the prototype had none while in black dress. FMID 63 was the last one without sound. She got an old Tsunami 1 sound decoder today. That is sufficient as long as no four flashing ditch lights need to be controlled.

After some month in the basement chip the handrails. There are lots of tricks to handle that. The easiest one is to simply paint them in the spring Icon_lol

I want to do some UP operating sessions but the plain light buildings are not the best background except for SoCal etc. but I wanted some more east and north. Found a nice structure in Louisville to wallpaper a new building.

Wallpapering plain uni painted concrete structures is very different from brick and mortar buildings with lots of windows. This is the very first shot and needs urgent improvement or I switch back to styrene kits for this kind of buildings.

ps. My sympathy for UP should not be discussed with ATSF and SP hardcore fans  Icon_lol

Did a second brick & mortar building. It is based on the front of https://goo.gl/maps/PaynDQKZTSR2 with some kit bashing with textures from http://clevermodels.squarespace.com/textures/.

Recessing the doors and adding the downspouts really elevates the appearance of that background structure, Reinhard.  Nicely done, as usual!

Wayne pointed out the obvious (that I would miss) that makes a good building great.
Great job.

Brick walls grow well in the spring sun. The image is from a rear brick wall in KC MO.

The industry at the far east end got a new touch using a wallpaper from Brooklyn  https://goo.gl/maps/KE5vT5nZu2KD56fw9
