I've had some set backs with my layout recently. A lightening strike took out the DCC layout and all the locos that were on it at the time and then last week discovered there was a water pipe that had been leaking over the layout, which happened to be under one of the scenic areas. I have been undecided on what to do with the layout as the operating group that I was part of disbanded and the motivation to get things done was lost. Because of this I have been trying to create different scenes with photos I have taken and photoshop. I enjoy your photos and modeling and look forward to seeing more. Bruce RE: Weekly Photo Fun 4/24 - 4/30/20 - cn nutbar - 04-27-2020 Hello Bruce---I'm so sorry to hear about your recent set-backs .I've heard the saying about bad luck happening in threes and it looks like you got hit almost all at once.I always enjoy and look forward to your contributions to BigBlue and hope that you will stay positive and continue with your modelling. RE: Weekly Photo Fun 4/24 - 4/30/20 - UP SD40-2 - 04-27-2020 OH Cripes Bruce , that just makes me sick to think about that . The very first big TV I ever bought didnt even last 2 months, it was took out by lightning , I couldnt imagine having lost all you did, I am so sorry. Tom, Nice roll by , good job on those hoppers too! ED, 4100 and the tender are one of my favorite steamers you have RE: Weekly Photo Fun 4/24 - 4/30/20 - Charlie B - 04-28-2020 Oh Bruce, I am so sorry to read about the damage to your layout and locomotives. Do you have any home owner coverage that would help? I got hit by lightning last fall and lost a CCTV recorder, a television. It didn't come up to the deductable, then 3 months later I discovered it had taken out a 400 dollar flat bed scanner too. I have run trains so I know it didn't hurt anything there, but I never gave it a thought. Electrical switches don't stop a lighting arc very well. I appreciate all of your efforts to keep entertaining us. Charlie |
