Thank you for the info on Canadian made Alco' s too! RE: Weekly Photo Fun 10/23 - 10/29/20 - cn nutbar - 10-24-2020 Thanks Deano---I received some further info. regarding the ALCO/MLW arrangement: Michael Patey Not exactly, MLW was owned by ALCO. It was purchased in 1901. In later years ALCo sold shares of MLW off to others but still maintained a stake. When Worthington purchased ALCO in the 60's they also picked up the shares in MLW and increased its ownership in MLW. When ALCO shut down in 1969 Worthington kept MLW going due to its strong sales in Canada plus GE was no sales threat here yet. However when sales started to decrease against GMD, Worthington sold it off to Bombardier. RE: Weekly Photo Fun 10/23 - 10/29/20 - tompm - 10-25-2020 Great photos of those ALCO’s. Continuing the unplanned ALCO theme here are my Atlas Jersey Central RSD-4/5 locos hauling the most recently completed weathered cars. 1 of 4 Lehigh & New England: Bowser 70-Ton Covered Hopper Reading: Bachmann Silver Series 40 FT Boxcar Pennsylvania: Atlas USRA Rebuilt Steel Boxcar RE: Weekly Photo Fun 10/23 - 10/29/20 - tompm - 10-25-2020 2 of 4 New Haven: Athearn Blue Box 40 FT Boxcar Burlington: Athearn Blue Box 40 FT Boxcar Delaware & Hudson: Custom Trains/Athearn Blue Box 40 FT Boxcar Monon: Bev-Bel/Athearn Blue Box 40 FT Boxcar New York Ontario & Western: Roundhouse (Athearn) RTR 36 FT Boxcar RE: Weekly Photo Fun 10/23 - 10/29/20 - tompm - 10-25-2020 3 of 4 Pennsylvania: Atlas USRA Rebuilt Steel Boxcar Lehigh & New England: Red Caboose X-29 Boxcar Lehigh & New England: Red Caboose X-29 Boxcar New Haven: Walthers 40 FT Steel Boxcar Kit RE: Weekly Photo Fun 10/23 - 10/29/20 - tompm - 10-25-2020 4 of 4 Jersey Central: Walthers X-29 Boxcar Kit Reading: Walthers X-29 Boxcar Kit Reading: Roundhouse (Athearn) RTR 4 Window Caboose The video of the run by https://youtu.be/QzQMvJZigBQ RE: Weekly Photo Fun 10/23 - 10/29/20 - cn nutbar - 10-26-2020 Classic steam power on the Leetown Division---CNR U2G #6213 P1410864 (4) by Ed Creechan, on Flickr RE: Weekly Photo Fun 10/23 - 10/29/20 - cn nutbar - 10-27-2020 ALCO-haulics Anonymous---my name is Nutbar and I'm an ALCO-haulic---I'm seeing ALCO's even when they didn't exist.
