Would Pillsbury Signs work on a Grain Elevator Structure? - Trucklover - 03-16-2009 Hi guys, I have a question for ya.... I have a few signs for Pillsbury but none for ADM. Im in the process of building the Walthers kit but i cant find my decals that came with the kit. I have some decals from the Red Wing Flour Mill Kits, they have sings for Redwing Milling Company, King Midas Flour, GOLD Medal, Pillsbury, Centennial Mills, Tri-State Milling, Robin Hood Flour, and Trisco Flour Would any of these work for a Grain Elevator? Which one do you think would be best to be on a Grain Elevator Structure? Re: Would Pillsbury Signs work on a Grain Elevator Structure? - Russ Bellinis - 03-16-2009 Is this intended to replicate a prototype elevator in a specific location, or are you just going to do something generic with a brand name. If it is generic, I'm pretty sure all of those companies that Walthers provided decals for would have grain elevators somewhere. Re: Would Pillsbury Signs work on a Grain Elevator Structure? - Russ Bellinis - 03-17-2009 Looks good to me, Josh. Re: Would Pillsbury Signs work on a Grain Elevator Structure? - sgtcarl1 - 03-18-2009 Well, personally, I would have gone with Robin Hood Flour, but only because I remember one of their flour mills in Davenport, Iowa, where I grew up. (I actually lived in Bettendorf.) Re: Would Pillsbury Signs work on a Grain Elevator Structure? - Trucklover - 03-18-2009 Thanks Russ ![]() sgtcarl1 Wrote:Well, personally, I would have gone with Robin Hood Flour, but only because I remember one of their flour mills in Davenport, Iowa, where I grew up. LOL Carl, I was debating Robin Hood Flour, but i ended up doing King Midas because the sign fit better on the piece of plastic i had for it lol Re: Would Pillsbury Signs work on a Grain Elevator Structure? - tetters - 03-19-2009 Hey Josh, the mill looks great. ![]() Quick question...what is the diameter of those silos? Re: Would Pillsbury Signs work on a Grain Elevator Structure? - Trucklover - 03-19-2009 tetters Wrote:Hey Josh, the mill looks great. Thanks Shane ![]() The exact measurement of the width of the silo structure is 4-5/8". So to get the diameter of one silo, divide by 2, Im horrible at math....  ![]() Re: Would Pillsbury Signs work on a Grain Elevator Structure? - upnick - 03-19-2009 tetters Wrote:Hey Josh, the mill looks great. It had a Pillsbury logo on one side that was obviously cut from a package label and it looked pretty good. Don't know who built it or if its prototypically correct but it worked. Jim K. |
