Weekly Photo Fun July 26/ August 1, 2024 - Charlie B - 07-26-2024

Early Conrail was when there was a rainbow of colors from the locomotives that formed Conrail and all of the leased locomotives on line. It was also the year of the Bi-Centennial paint on hundreds of locomotives.  This is a model of the Seaboard Coast Line version which did show up at Conway, Pa. This is an old Athearn Blue Box and the model does have the proper Blomberg trucks were from EMD GP trade-ins.  The unit was built in June of 1971 and delivered in these colors. The original 1776 was renumbered 1813 which would have been the number assigned to the Bi-centennial locomotive as built.

Photos are fun - they show you what you've accomplished and how much more you still have to do.

The local heads over the remains of the CNJ underpass at White Haven.

...and then there's the simultaneous drone footage...
