Ouch. From the article...

Quote:"When I looked outside, I saw there was a train in my garage."

I would hazard a guess that there is a few people on this forum who would not have a problem with that... 790_smiley_picking_a_fight Confusedhock: 35

Well, you may be right on that point! But I also heard CBC Radio speaking to the homeowner this morning and she said that the house had also shifted 1.5 metres off the foundation...! Eek

Your point? I think most of us, would grab a camera, start snapping photos of every little detail, and try and climb into the cab to take pictures of it. We'd then grab our significant other and pose by the wreck to have our picture taken with it. The whole time grinning from ear to ear and always thinking about it as something to brag about to our MRR buddies, other Train enthuiasts, etc... never once thinking about the insurance claim to pay for the damage. (you do have house insurance right?) Later on we'd aquire a manufactured prototype model and then customize it to match the wrecked locomotive for our layouts, run it, while proudly telling guests who visit years from now, "That, right there is the train that crashed into my garage!"
