CN train 431 heads west through Hamilton West earlier today behind a couple of C40-8's.The lead unit #2006 has been painted in CN colours while patched sister #2029 still retains her former UP livery

In the background it's business as usual in the Stuart St. yard as a Raillink GP38 #3873 handles the switching chores

CP must be expecting some VIP visit---their Kinnear Yard power has been all shined and polished and looks pretty spiffy

I thought I was in British Columbia earlier today as a couple of BC Rail locomotives powered CN train 331 through Hamilton West. These locomotives are seen on a regular basis in consists with CN power in my hometown but this was the first time I had seen this kind of lash-up.

For the second time I spotted a couple of BCRail C40-8M's (4614 and 4624) leading a freight through Bayview Junction.Train 329 apparently had been re-routed from it's regular route on Wisconsin Central trackage and rolled east through Bayview this morning offering the local rail-fans a double rare treat.

My wife Sharon and I had some business today in Cambridge so we decided to stop in Paris on the way home to take in some of the local scenery.Charlie and Doctor Wayne should remember this location from our last rail-fanning adventure.Unfortunately Sharon is not a very patient rail-fanner and after a very brief stop I diplomatically agreed to head home---however,one train did appear.

Ed, that is a great location and the second shot would be spectacular with a train on the trestle. We have to do that next trip.
