Trucklover Wrote:Thanks for the info Brian, ill have to look for that special edition of Trains

I think it's already off the shelves so you'll want to keep an eye out at train shows in the magazine stacks.

Brian, THANKS for the info Thumbsup , i knew those engines being environmentally "friendly" ran on batteries, propane or the like, but thats about it.

UP had one up here at UP's North Chicago Service Center(formerly CNW's Harvard Yard)in Janesville WI last winter for testing in this climate, unfortunately i was never able to get a shot of it, it wasnt here that long.

I don't think that Deano has much time for railfanning lately, although he does try to visit his Dad on weekends for some model railroading.

Well, i guess its time to start chipping away at this thread again

Havent been railfanning in a bit, but i have some NEW shots i took at the IRM last week, and a couple more old shots from there too.

Even without railfanning lately i still have TONS of UP & WSOR pics to add, just need to get off my duff and start doing it Misngth .

**Pics 1,2,3 - UP's CNW heritage SD70ACe, and what i think is the last two CNW Dash-9's still in original paint, dont quote me on them being the last two though. These were at the IRM last Saturday, not for display, they were working the area and when not in use UP stores them at the IRM to keep vandals from getting to them.

4- UP just donated this CNW SD40-2 to the IRM this year.

5- this Burlington was just finished up 2 days before i took this shot.

6- CNW geep, the IRM just aquired this last year.

7- TPW Alco

8- BN F unit in the executive paint scheme.

9- FM H20-44, was originally UP, then sold to Portland cement Co. , its now in the process of being restored back to UP paint scheme Thumbsup

Thats all for tonight Wink

Deano, good to see you back and posting pics, always enjoy your picture threads!

I'll be heading to IRM on Aug 2(?) when they do the big annual car show there. I've got some good pics from IRM that I've taken too, but will definitely be snapping more when I go this next time.

Oh, and be sure to check out the Railfanning The UP thread too, I posted a lot of pics over there of UPs that I've seen on the "road"

Steven, since the IRM UP engines some might not consider "railfanning" , it might be a good idea to ask Biran first, since its His thread Wink . The weekly photo fun thread would be a good place too, lots would see them Smile .
