Weathering with colored pencils.

I found this Video on the MRH E-mag and was wondering if anyone else had tried this before and what there results were ?

I've used colored pencils for details on LPBs. There, being able to get a fine point on the pencil, I was able to add very small details, like buttons, watchbands etc. I haven't tried weathering.....yet.
It's a whole new "medium" and will take a few tries before it becomes "second nature".
We always learn far more from our own mistakes, than we will ever learn from another's advice.
The greatest place to live life, is on the sharp leading edge of a learning curve.
Lead me not into temptation.....I can find it myself!

I read the article then watched the video and then went and bought some of the pencils...definately a great technique, lots more control than a brush BUT like all new techniques its well worth practicing on an old scrap piece of rolling-stock or building before using it on a good piece...of course one of the nice things about this is you can wash away a mistake as long as you haven't sealed it with a sealer Goldth
