FINISH ! *** The Reading C1a class, Reading type 4-4-4, of 1915. ***

* Now that all is done. And I know all is never really done. Allways something to add or change. I will add something here for the modeler who wishes to do this locomotive. Some active at this time links to Information. Photos, Specifications, drawings, and some reading material. I hope it helps.

Information links on the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad, 4-4-4, class C1a of 1915.
! - wikipedia cyclopedia online. Good as built photo of #110 in new condition, fireman's side. Also information.

2 - This class of locomotive was built for the Atlantic City Rail Road the ACRR.
This link will go to a information link on this railroad. Scanning through you will find a photo of #110, Engineers side. Also many more photos, map, information, and postcards of this railroad.

3 - ** Here is a excellent article I found searching "Google books". It is from a 1915 issue of the "Railway Age Gazette". There are actually two articles in the publication. The first on page 1184, "The Reading type locomotive" and the second on page 1193, Titled, " A Passenger Locomotive of Unusual Interest". The first is a few paragraphs of information. Reading this will give a good lead into the second. The second is a 5 page article. With Information, photos, list of specifications, and a excellent full page drawing with various views. Read them both!

4 - There is a very good fourth source of photos on The C1a. There is no link for this, as it is a book. It has the only photo I found of C1a #111, firemans side. Also 2 other photos of #110 engineers side.
The Book is " West Jersey Rails II" This book was published by the West Jersey Chapter, National Railway Historical Society. PO box 1022, Haddonfield, NJ, 08033.
* The article is Titled : " The I'll-Stared Reading type ". A 4 page article, from page 32 to 35.
* I hope you can find this for it add to info already metioned.

Best wishes for a good model.
