Another Good Reason to move to Calif.!!!

LV was our flight destination last year and we spend the first and last days there. We do both not gamble but the casinos are the obvious places for tourists to look for a restroom. I used the time my wife was at the ladies room to rest on a seat in front of a slot machine. Some did run on 5ct or 10 ct coins. I think I lost all together 50ct but got at least three free coke served Thumbsup
Some of the hotels and casinos are really impressive. But there is one thing we both did never understand. Why is the carpet in the casino halls to outstanding ugly? Wild pattern with read, violet and yellow colors. I am very sure that did not happen by accident. There must be hidden reason to have that kind of carpet in all casinos. May be it should wake you up?

I've never been to LV but if I do I want to see the pawn shop that is on Pawn Stars , one of my favourite TV shows . Then over to see the other Rick , the restoration guy ( who I think has his own show now )

If you've never seen Pawn Stars , you're missing a good show ....educational about all things American because the shop owner , Rick , brings experts in all the time and they give the audience a short lesson about whatever item they're looking at .

I watch both shows as well as "American Pickers". They all have educational as well as entertainment value and I'd love to visit their locations too. However, you have to be able to grind through the contrived drama on any of these shows. The owner, Rick, gets called out by his son for not using the timeclock to clock in, or Chumly has to clean toilets because he lost a challenge. Nope Last week the pickers were somewhere in North Carolina when Danielle's little "company" car broke down in Iowa. By the time they got home with at least one stop along the way to get something appraised and about a 1000 mile drive, she was still sitting there waiting to be rescued. :? I also watch the pawn shop shows from Detroit and Baton Rouge, but again, they always seem to have a camera there during some private moments of drama. :o

Having just completed 69 years in this life, I have no need to go to a Casino to "gamble".

I'm not a big fan of the behind the scenes so-called drama either ....they are lousy actors , so leave it alone . My wife is a big American Pickers fan but we both get tired of the Danielle connection too .
There is a new show that my wife found called Salvage Hunters ...same idea as American Pickers but based in England . It has a bit of a different slant if only because of the very deep history that England has compared to the U.S. I've seen it twice now and quite enjoy it .

I'm not a gambler,I don't play the lottery* but,if I tried the slots and won the jackpot I would take the money and run as fast as I could to the nearest bank because I know hitting the jackpot is a lucky day.

*Back in '87 I bought a pick 3 lottery ticket and chose 0-0-0 as my number and won..All the next day I couldn't get 0-0-0 off my mind so, I bought my last pick 3 lottery ticket and chose 0-0-0 again and won..I figured that was the end of my lucky streak and haven't purchase a lottery ticket since.

I suspect it's designed to hide a multitude of stains easily. Wink

You're right, spill a beer, get sick, have Poochie have an "accident", but it hides more than just stains. Just drop one of those colorful chips on the floor, then try to find it on those wild carpets. That's even more profit when they come along with the vacuum cleaner. :o
