My grandson finally getting into it
#1
My grandson will be turning 8 next month. Recently he has wanted to run the local on my RR. Today he, under my supervision ran local dropping and spotting 2 box cars at Gern, picking up a loaded box and covered hopper. The covered hopper was left behind and he ran back to get it. Dropped 4 cars at J&M interchange. He had to reverse direction in the middle of this putting the caboose on the other end of the train. The return to home, Clifton Forge yard. He wants to do it again tomorrow. I told him we would have to work in the yard the inbound trains need to be switched, broke apart or what ever the right term would be. Big Grin

I'm glad you have someone showing some interest. It is fun to have help with the operating chores.
Enjoy it Les.

Good to hear the young man has taken an interest! Thumbsup

As far as " I told him we would have to work in the yard the inbound trains need to be switched, broke apart or what ever the right term would be. " I believe that would be classifying them.
