Meanwhile a long and yearningly awaited intenational letter has arrived:

Containing dozens of small detail parts not only estimated for this loco.

So the shell of the 2-6-2 was removed again and the cab insert taken out.
As you can see there is the complete nothing in the cab.
The boiler backhead got several borings to fit the detail parts.

So the insert looks with mounted detail parts. All parts were was soldered

The insert again in the cab. Not everything here is complete or are the 100% correct parts, but as i wrote before the availability of such detail parts is fading away.
You have to take what you are getting still. But as positive effect the cab will be not so empty as it has been before.
The insert is still yet not soldered permanently into the shell. So it will be easier to paint the cab interior or glazing the windows.
