The locomotive in that photo had me puzzled for a few minutes, Charlie, and I had to look it up.  I wasn't aware of the GP40P, but in purpose, it's apparently similar to the GP40TC used, at one time, by GO Transit.

Your photo collection never fails to amaze me.

I believe the P was for passenger which at that time probably had a boiler in that end.  Nifty looking for a change.

41 years ago today, a couple foamers out to take train pictures along the east coast.  My friend Joe Jack on the right and I was 100 pounds lighter. .      Later that day at the Meadows.      Charlie
