The Hobo Camp Fire Is going well #VII.. Stop In!!!
Morning. Rainy and 63 degrees. Off to specialist apt. I do have some questions.
DAZ, we have Spectrum [TWC] digital. Has a blocking selection. Now those ring one time and are gone. Really reduced our call volume.

Wish we were able to block those calls. None of the phone providers here think that their customer's piece of mind matters over the rights of those illegal or pesky callers.

Temps heading up starting today going up to 80 by next week.

In a warming cycle until late this week. Still snow on the ground, about 62 degrees with no wind...basically a perfect winter day for getting stuff done.

Working on emptying out my layout room and modifying a few things - just finished a complete re-do of the TV/Reading room! Wife now talking about re-doing the master bedroom/bath! Wallbang
Our phone base unit is in the kitchen; the unit in the TV room has its ringer muted. The phone rings twice and goes to the message. If we are in position to hear it ring we check the ID. If its a respectable name or number we may answer. Anyone who doesn't leave a message doesn't get called back. Same with recorded messages ("Press button 2 to accept. Why arent you pressing button 2?")

In model railroading, there are between six and two hundred ways of performing a given task.
Most modellers can get two of them to work.
Good morning all, with caller ID, it's a bit easier to ignore those robocalls. They spoof a lot of phone numbers from around the country and frequently use our exchange hoping that we think it's a neighbor. Well, we don't have any neighbors that we know that well to call each other for any reason. When we let it ring, the caller will usually hang up before the answering machine kicks in or right when it does. My wrath is with the phone company that allows them to spoof the number that appears on your caller ID. You would think they'd have the technology to prevent that.

All the vehicle auctions are over and they're getting ready around here for Spring Training in a few weeks. There were around five auctions, the biggest lasted a week with some 1700 vehicles on the block. Some sold for many millions as always, lots of big names show up every year a well. President Bush stopped by to help with the auction of a car for charity. I think the winning bid was $1,500,000, chump change for some.

We got a country road L1189 with a speed limit of 18 mph (30 km/h) due to potholes..... No, they do not intend to repair it!

Greetings, gang.

Sunny and 40 headed for sunny, windy, and 50 with south winds up to 35 mph. Much cooler next week with some highs only in the 20s.

Back home from funeral for lady friends brother-in-law. Long three days. Within minutes of my arrival there one of lady friend's daughters called. She had slipped on the ice and was in a great deal of pain. We took her to the ER where she was x-rayed and had broken her ankle. Surgeon said yesterday surgery is required. Will find out today whether surgery will be Monday or Tuesday.

On tap for today is laundry and some house cleaning but will try to get outside as much as possible.

All stay safe.

Morning. 45 degrees and warming. Off to a free steak lunch with some national political guy. Wants to ask me questions about one of the fastest growing town nationally. Sure, I'll eat his steak. Still coughing. Blood tests came back great. Meds working.

Have a good one.

Good morning all, I hope your weekend is working out for you. We are trying to get the garage in shape, we built shelves to store all the excess that we still have left after moving four times in two years. Today, with the help of Packey, we're going to put a cabinet in place to hold what's left of my tools. Bought the cabinet at Home Depot, and I can't believe the weight, I'm guessing well over 100 pounds. Right now, it's on the floor where I assembled it, but no way can I get it upright without help. Beyond that, the next step is to see what I can do with all my train stuff that's still packed.

Temps today in the low 70's, tomorrow and Monday though are suppose to be in the low 80's, near records....

Greetings, gang.

Sunny and 26 headed for a high in the low 40s. Much colder for the next couple of days.

Got all the laundry caught up yesterday and shopped for some new dress shoes. Sole came off of my old ones. So far today I've been to Walmart for groceries and got the car washed. If the driveway doesn't get too wet from snow melt I may change the oil on my car also.

All stay safe.

Cough cough cough. Wifey too. We are better though. 51 degrees and sunny. Clouding up later. Rain tomorrow. 60's today. Better than those cold temps.

Will try and go do some things in the Train Box today. No energy. Did sleep until 8 this AM. That was good.

Have a good one.
