A CNR Wood Boxcar
#1
I had a Accurail boxcar which didn't fit the era I am modeling.

I stripped the paint off, carved off some molded-in grab irons and stirrups and replaced them with metal ones.

I replaced the Fishbelly with Center Sills and added some brake rods and plumbing.

Some paint and lettering from Black Cat Decals

Nice job.  Applause What did you use for the center sills?  Are they from a Tichy kit?

I replace the center sills on many of my Accurail kits--here's an MKT boxcar:

I use evergreen channel, trmmed to fit.

gna,

Yes. The center sills are from Tichy. I used those I didn't use in the USRA Rebuil Boxcar kit.

I recently bought some 1/8" styrene channel for next projects.
