Alternatives to rubbing alcohol for cleaning track

Sometimes it is labeled as Fuel for alcohol stoves. If you use it shut off the power to the layout and have good ventilation. You want no sparks.

Thanks, Frank. That's helpful & will consider this for the future.  However, my local Shoppers (Drug Store) and they had a small supply in, so I'm good for now. :-)

just go to a  liquor store and get a pint of ever clear. 96%, the up side is its drinkable if this lock down goes on much longer.
I think mineral spirits are an excellent solution for track cleaning. It is also available in an eco-friendly version, so there is almost no odor. I have been using it for many years. Glenn
