I've been going there since 2004 and have really enjoyed the fellowship there. Their last day is this coming Sunday (Jan. 13). The main cause is problems caused by the construction of the Eglinton LRC, but there are 1-2 other factors as well. Details on their website.

Really sad to see them go. 20% sale until Sunday. I've been there a couple times this past week and it just feels sad to be there as the store winds down.

Just FYI and to commiserate with any other Ontario modellers who will miss them.

I recently bought 5 pairs of these trucks from an eBay seller who apparently is not a rail modeler. So when they got here, I looked them over, played around with them with various motors and such. I even dissected one all the way down to see if I could find any other potential uses, which I did. These are good quality as found on Kato locomotives.

Having decided that 5 pairs isn't enough, I thought I'd go back for more. His original price was more than fair, WAY better than any other price I'd ever seen on eBay, but now I see he has dropped his price on sets of 10 pairs. Original price was $79.99 for 10 PAIR, now it's 49.99 plus fair shipping. He also sells in smaller quantities.

These are complete Kato Blomberg trucks, with the typical brass worm over idler driving 14 tooth axle gears. They do require that the original outer sideframes be used to help support the brass outer bearings, or as I plan to do, modify other plastic trucks (alco) to do so. they even have the u joints on the (2mm) input shaft.

I like to build and modify HO locomotives, and this deal can't be beat. I thought I'd pass it along. I am not associated with this seller in any way other than a very satisfied buyer.
I'm really miffed with my latest purchase, being a modeler means this is a hobby which is recreational & meant to be enjoyable. I'm not a happy bunny though !!
I purchased a exactrail freightcar off ebay & paid my postage. I've got a ticket from the mail office here in the uk saying i need to pay £18.50 customs charges. Now i don't mind paying charges for things but i think they are really taking the P@ss when the charge is for more than the item is worth.

we have a saying in England " Rip off Britain " & it has really left a foul taste in my mouth. I think its a joke when they do this & wondered if anyone had anyway of doing a tax dodge & getting around this because i cant be paying for everything twice when trying to buy things for my layout.

Hi Everyone

Wanted to share an experience i had with Wholesale trains. for the past several weeks i was looking at the Atlas Genset locomotives. i wanted to get one in Norfolk Southern. a friend of mine has one, and ever since i saw it i wanted one. its a very nice looking locomotive. i looked around at numerous places, and found Wholesale Trains. I never ordered from them before and was not sure what they were like. however they have the lowest price on Gensets. i talked to Charlie B. and he stated had ordered from them in the past and his experience was a positive one. so i thought cannot hurt to try.

I placed my order with them by their online store at 6pm on a Friday and I had the locomotive by 5pm the following Wednesday. which i think is really fast, faster than i expected ! a nice thing they did as well was they sent me several e-mails letting me know when the item was shipped, where it was and estimated delivery date.

The locomotive aarrived by FEDXEX and it was packaged in a safe and secure fashionl. Atlas really hit it out of the park on this locomotive. the details are sharp and crisp abd accurate and it runs like a Champ. i like it so much i am considering getting another one in CSX. just thought i would pass this information along.
