Re: PC Photo - LiveSteamer - 06-20-2009 Wow great picture Bruce. Never thought you would see PC last this long. Re: PC Photo - Ralph - 06-20-2009 Hey look at that! A rare survivor! Thanks! Ralph Re: PC Photo - Charlie B - 06-20-2009 Conway, Sept, 1977. Still lots of PC survivors. Re: PC Photo - Ralph - 06-21-2009 Great shot of that wonderfully dirty GP9 Charlie!! I sat there and watched them all.
Re: PC Photo - Charlie B - 07-14-2009 With all the new threads for NS, CSX, UP, etc, I felt Ralph was getting left out. All 3 were taken in the same place, Just west of East Palestine, Ohio in 76 and 77 Charlie Re: PC Photo - Ralph - 07-14-2009 Ahhh! THANK YOU Charlie! I feel very fortunate to benefit from your treasure trove of PC photos! This recent collection really illustrates one of the best reasons to be a PC fan; the diversity of motive power and the railroad's willingness to lashup just about anything together. Love the U28C/F7 pairing in the top photo! Great stuff!!!! Ralph Re: PC Photo - tomustang - 07-14-2009 bdw9535 Wrote:It's not a loco pic, but its PC and still working on 6/18/09. Not a good shot but thought some would be interested. There's a bunch of those in a warehouse parking lot in allentown... Re: PC Photo - doctorwayne - 07-14-2009 Ralph Wrote:Ahhh! THANK YOU Charlie! Ralph, I think that the 6541 is a U33C. Either way, though, great pictures and a great thread. Wayne Re: PC Photo - Ralph - 07-15-2009 Yep, I checked a couple of PC roster sources and you're right! I haven't developed a sharp enough eye to notice big differences between some U boats. I checked the numbering system and see that both U28Cs and U33Cs are in the 6500 series but they can be distinguished by the last two numbers. (6534 is apparently the highest a U28C was numbered.) Are there identifying features on the loco itself that help you identify it as a U33C? Ralph |
