Re: My Z scale layout from start to - Catt - 09-29-2011 Time for a small update on the Z layout. They layout is up for some major upgrades including length and width (at one end atleast)The track layout here is currently on my most liked list.If I still feel that way on saturday it will happen. The inner end loop will become history and it will become another industrial siding. Please ignore the mess as this pic is just to show what I have planned to start with, and to allow me to study it up close. ![]() Final dimentions will be 62" long with this end 30" wide while the other end will remain at 24". Once I commit to this plan I have till 12-3-11 to get it respectable. WARNING!,there will be more pictures. ![]() Re: My Z scale layout from start to - Tyson Rayles - 09-30-2011 If that thing gets much bigger Catt you will have to switch it over to G scale! ![]() Re: My Z scale layout from start to - Catt - 09-30-2011 I just made a slight correction, the layout will be 62" long or standing on end 5'2" same as my wife. ![]() Re: My Z scale layout from start to - Catt - 10-03-2011 Just to give you an idea of what the done layout (no such thing as a finnished layout  ) will look like. ![]() Some proof I am actually working on it. ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: My Z scale layout from start to - Catt - 10-08-2011 Progress pic,as of 10-8-11,that SD40-2 is running laps lookng for problems before the track is secured. ![]() Re: My Z scale layout from start to - Catt - 10-12-2011 One more update photo. ![]() Right on scedule so far. ![]() Re: My Z scale layout from start to - Tyson Rayles - 10-13-2011 ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: My Z scale layout from start to - Sumpter250 - 10-13-2011 Sooooo, when this is "done, not finished" -------will the next addition....ahhh, tectonic plate collision.... create some near vertical mountains, requiring 18 switchbacks to get to the top ? ![]() ![]() ![]() This, dear viewer, is the classic cause and effect relationship that results in the proverbial "layout that is never finished" situation. :o ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: My Z scale layout from start to - Harry - 10-13-2011 nice ![]() ![]() Re: My Z scale layout from start to - Catt - 10-14-2011 Mike,my goal is to get this layout at least half as nice as yours. ![]() Harry,Thank you sir. Pete,The only thing a finished layout is good for is replacement. ![]() |
