The Z layout is headed for storage until I can find the time and money to set it up at home in the basement.Once that happens it will be enlarged and get all new track from Rokuhan.I still want a Z show layout but in a slightly smaller size and here is a pic of the start of that layout. The new layout is at the present 18" wide and 29 3/8" long these dimentions will increase by a quarter inch once the fashia is attached.

The track will be removed and a 1" thick piece of extruded styrofoam will be glued down and the track replaced. There will be at least one siding .More pictures as progress is made.

Current status of the new Z layout.Track plan is a simple oval with two sidings inside the oval one on each side. The track is not glued down yet .I hope to get that and the wiring done tomorrow.

Re: My "New" Z scale layout from start to - Catt - 01-27-2014

Bout time for a update. Not much to show though the landforms are done and ready for paint and scenery. The pic shows the layout setting on my Onandaga Sub portable N scale layout. The white you see around the edges is recycled drier sheets. They are good for glue shell scenery plus it keeps them out of the landfill.
