A viewing test... - doctorwayne - 07-20-2009 ...which isn't the same thing as an eye test. Evidently, some folks, especially those on dial-up, are having trouble viewing pictures on Big Blue. Below are four photos from various sources - if there are any that you can't see, please answer here to let me know which ones and if you're on dial-up. The first one is from photobucket: This one is a thumbnail from photobucket: One from our own Gallery: [album]1153[/album] And finally, an attachment: Thanks for your input. Wayne Re: A viewing test... - doctorwayne - 07-20-2009 I've just discovered that viewers who are not logged-in to Big Blue can't see the photo linked from our own Gallery - it's replaced by a number, which, when clicked-on, shows a white area with a timer icon. I let it run for a couple of minutes, but no picture appeared, nor did it time-out. I'm on a high speed connection. Wayne Re: A viewing test... - viperman - 07-20-2009 I see all 4 with cable. I was going to comment that those all look like locos at IRM, until I saw that bottom line in the post Re: A viewing test... - nomad - 07-20-2009 I am on cable. I can see them all, but if I click on the third one to enlarge it, the enlargement is smaller? Loren Re: A viewing test... - Ralph - 07-20-2009 I can see them all Wayne but the first larger one hesitates a bit as I go up and down the page on DSL. I've noticed in other threads that sometimes some of your larger pics load slowly even on DSL for me. Ralph Re: A viewing test... - doctorwayne - 07-20-2009 nomad Wrote:I am on cable. Wayne Re: A viewing test... - railroader9731 - 07-20-2009 All good here (cable) Re: A viewing test... - Sarge - 07-20-2009 I'm on wireless broadband (Rural) and it works fine for me. Some times I have problems on pic intensive pages, but not much. Re: A viewing test... - eightyeightfan1 - 07-20-2009 Looks fine here. I'm on cable. Re: A viewing test... - Bob C - 07-20-2009 Wayne, I logged out - just as you said, c/n get the Gallery image...then tried right clik, select "view image" - get "You are not authorized..." screen. Logged back in - all images back in place. Bob C. Re: A viewing test... - sgtcarl1 - 07-20-2009 I'm with Nomad. I'm on highspeed broadband, (aka cable) and when I click on the third one, it gets smaller. Might have something to do with default sizing?? (I don't know whose default it is, but I was on the other side of town, so you can't pin it on me!!) (Maybe I shouldn't watch so many crime solving programs on TV.) Re: A viewing test... - Steamtrains - 07-20-2009 All A-OK on this side of the moon..Oops...earth.... On DSL...And I too suffer from "ensmallment" of that third image.... Re: A viewing test... - doctorwayne - 07-20-2009 When I post from our Gallery, I click on the "imagename", then "COPY" the photo's BB code, "PASTING" it into the post. If you look in My Gallery, you'll find that clicking on the image gives you a small photo (larger than the thumbnail) while clicking on the "imagename" (Baldwin DT-6-6-2000 centercab diesel) yields a larger view.
